My daughter made this amazing dessert for me today, which is a big deal because I am fairly new to being gluten free and vegan. Since my doctor sentenced me to a life of joyless eating, I have had to watch as my family devours all the sweets she churns out on an almost daily basis. This dish gives me hope that there might be some joy in being a gluten free vegan after all.

Gluten Free Vegan Blueberry Peach Crumble

Blueberry Peach Crumble that is gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, and easy to make.

Cook Time 55 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 10 minutes

  • 2 cups fresh sliced peaches
  • 4 cups blueberries you can use strawberries or a mix of both
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup one for one gluten free flour
  • 3/4 cup gluten free rolled oats
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup smart balance
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil


  1. Mix together: fruit, white sugar, corn starch, 1/4 tsp salt,, and cinnamon.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix: brown sugar, gluten free flour, gluten free rolled oats, 1/4 tsp salt, coconut oil, and smart balance

  3. Pour fruit mixture into a pie dish.

  4. Sprinkle oat topping on top.

  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until brown and bubbly.

  6. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Recipe Notes

You can mix and match the fruit to suit your taste. We just used what we had, which was strawberries, peaches, and blueberries. 

She used Smart Balance for the butter and this one to one gluten free flour from Bob’s Red Mill. We picked it up at Walmart.
